Today was nice and relaxing… And I even got some stuff done! I paid bills, did laundry and cleaned the bar room. Then I hunkered down for a day of TV and wine.

I hung up my new gift from my aunt in the bar. How cool is this!

The pooch and I were playing. He knew I was hiding his toy and wasn’t happy.

Tonight we all had a frosty treat.

And all day I felt the need to wear my hat from Ireland.

Yeah!! We are finally home! Today was a long day of travel. We woke up at 6 am Dublin time which is 12 am central. So after a lengthy wait at the airport and a 7 hour flight, we made it to NYC.

Business class was great! I watched a movie, had some wine… Ate a lot of food.

So happy to finally see North America!

Then we had a 3 hour layover in NYC and sat in the Sky Lounge soaking up the wifi and biscotti cookies. We loaded onto the plane old school style.

We landed in MSP early and got a ride from Matthew “The Body” (thanks!) and also found a little surprise waiting for us from Shammie.

And of course, the best part of the day was being reunited with this pooch! (Thanks to Cara and Becca for watching him!) When he saw us, he jumped up an down on us for like 3 minutes… So cute.

Our last full day in Ireland! 😦 We had a great time…

First, we relaxed and had massages in the morning. Then we headed over to the Old Jameson Distillery where we had a guided tour and I was selected as a taster! I was certified and everything…

Then we started an afternoon if pubs and enjoyment. Some places we stumbled upon, some were recommended, some were famous. All were fantastic!

Then we came back to our castle to lack an get ready for the big trip home to see our pooch!!

Our last day driving cross country in Ireland. 😦 We started out at the Cliffs of Moher which were beautiful… But very windy and cold.

Then we headed over to Doolin to just sit and enjoy a coffee while finishing up some postcards.

We ended up spending about 3 hours driving back to Dublin on their fancy new highway that allowed us to go 120km (75-80 mph). Our Renault Fluence did us well and I was able to check it back in with no concerns.

Tonight we’ve been relaxing at the airport hotel and are catching a flight to London very early!

We get to meet Greta tomorrow! I think that she wishes she could meet Diohgé.

Well, it was another rainy and windy day. Blah. But it turned wonderful by 2 pm!! We stayed in the best little B&B where they gave us great directions, advice and were just the best with service.

We decided to shop a little today in Dingle before we drove. We were hoping it would help the rain pass. Dave found a bottle of his new favorite vodka and I found a lot more. 🙂

Once we took off, the rain was still pretty heavy but we powered trough the drive. The views were supposed to be gorgeous. We got soaked, but we still got out and walked, took photos and saw a lot of “prehistoric” dwellings.

The coast, Slea Head, looks into the ocean and was amazing. I’ll share a couple of views below…

We also had some friends asking for a snack. Dave thought it was real fun to throw them pieces of a cookie and they would fly up and grab it.

We continued our drive after stopping at a pottery shop for lunch. Beautiful work… And a really tasty lunch. By then the weather cleared up really well… Some more views. We saw a TON of rainbows!! They were amazing and the brightest I’ve ever seen.

Then we crossed the ferry which saved us about an hour of driving time. We’re in Lanniscor tonight and will see the Cliffs of Mohr tomorrow! Exciting!

Oh! And we finally saw a border collie herding sheep today! It was quick so no photos, but so fun to see!

Finally, Dave was constantly ready for the shot… Seriously. I pulled over to see a view, he woke up, got out of the car and continued shooting!
