Today was a blast! We volunteered with Finnegan’s at the Irish Fair. Dave was the resident photographer while I signed up new volunteers and did tattoos.
The best part was when a judge for the cocktail contest didn’t show up and I “had” to fill in! So, I get to “volunteer” by tasting 12 cocktails made with Finnegan’s? Okay! They were delightful!
Enjoying a little Jameson flight with a new friend.
Finally, after several long years, our friends the McCallisters moved to town! We are so excited to have them close by… And we got to meet our niece Zara! She’s very cute and well behaved.
Diohgé joined us, but he and Chef weren’t besties. So he wanted to go home and sleep.
The Puppers and I had a fun day today. First we went to the dog park where he got to play with his girlfriend Lucy.
When we got home, he napped and I ran my own 5K. I signed up for one yesterday, but it was so rainy I didn’t go. But I still wanted to finish. So I ran it today at home and beat my time by one minute!
To reward ourselves for so much hard work, we went to DQ tonight. Diohgé loves ice cream!
I’m hoping this isn’t an addiction. But if it is, atleast it’s healthy. I’ve registered for my second 5K in a couple of weeks… Irish for a Day!
And the pooch enjoyed watching the Westminster Dog Show. He’s practicing his poses.
Today has been bitterly cold… I mean, horrifying. But, we still went to the dog park for awhile this afternoon and the pooch was stalking some prey.
And then the rest of the day was catching up on some fun TV, laundry, resume helping and reading a lot of my new travel book about Ireland.
I love my Irish Nutcracker… Especially because we are taking a two week trip to Ireland next year!! Woo hoo!!
Starting in Dublin… Traveling around… A jaunt to London to see my new friend Eleanor… And then business class on the way home. 🙂
Anyone want to join!?
