Shammie has been in peak bloom the last few weeks. He has been turning his leaves to the window and then closes up at night. Beautiful! And to think it was a plant from the grocery store 6 years ago.
And somebody came home today! Diohgé is very happy.

So, last night I showed everyone my new Lytro camera… Now today, I want to show you some of the photos I took with it! Amazing!
This new technology is made possible through light field technology and the letters L, A and W. (Lytro, Awesome and WOW!) You can read more about it at
For our blog today, I’m going to add in 3 photos… Once you get the photo to load, click on different portions of the photo and you’ll see them focus in different spots. AMAZING!
First photos… My one plant that hasn’t died in over 6 years… Shammie! Click on the shamrocks closer and then farther back again.
And of course, I had to take some photos of the Pooch for my good friend Mary. She loves seeing him on the blog! Click on his nose and then again on his eye.
And last one of the Pooch… Click on one paw, the second paw and then again on the toy tiger in the back.
Finally, you can hold down your mouse on each picture and it will move around like you are live. This is all done with ONE PICTURE! So excited…
I’ve had this grocery store plant for 5 years. I’ve named him Shammie the Shamrock. He just continues to grow and flower!
Got a ton done today… Grocery shopping, meal planning, prep for an offsite at my house Tuesday, budgeting. I feel very accomplished.

I don’t know if its the trend this season, or if I am just discovering how much I love purple? But I keep on driving into the neighborhood and finding these amazing colors of purple. I took this shot … is this lilac? I looked it up on wikipedia and it seems to be. They smell amazing.
