I guess it had to end. But the flight was nice… I got to finish reading my book. The second this week!
And the best part of the day… Seeing this boy! He was so excited that he ran around jumping between the two of us. He was a blur!
Today was sad… A beautiful warm day driving around in the convertible realizing that we leave tomorrow. 😦 But we finally got to Sanibel and Captiva. Definitely worth the time!
First we started the day with some champagne.
Then we headed to Pinnocho’s for ice
cream. We heard from several that it was amazing… The Italian wedding cake was delicious!
The beach at the Lighthouse was fun for a walk and shells.
Dave enjoyed the drive as well…
And of course we came back to relax in the pool. I love it.
Tomorrow… Pooch!
After a leisurely morning, we hopped in the car and headed of to Miromar Outlets because I had a hankering to shop. It was a gorgeous day for a drive with the top down!
We walked around for several hours at the Outlet and I feel like I did pretty good on controlling the spend… Except for a nice new piece of Tumi luggage. I’m so excited! Dave enjoyed feeding a pond of Koi fish that also had several turtles in it.
Then we headed down to Naples. Our friend Russ that is with us wanted to see it and it’s his birthday. So, we thought it’d be a great idea! The drive was amazing and we watched the sunset from the car.
We found a little Italian joint and had some delicious pizza. Yum.
Afterwards, we walked around 5th Ave that has a ton of shops and restaurants. And ice cream… Yes, ice cream.
Now I’m exhausted!
We woke up super early today to catch the sunrise off the beach. We stopped at McDonalds to get some energy and the headed to the park. It was early, but very peaceful and beautiful!
We came back and took naps before our massages. And we were all glad we scheduled massages. So exciting! Afterwards, we just relaxed at the house with an afternoon of naps, computers and pool time.
All day we had been cooking a crock pot delight and it was amazing with the wine we paired. Spicy dinner and sweet sparkling wine. Yum!
This evening, we enjoyed some beverages while playing a little card game. We went through the whole deck!!
I miss my pooch.
After a delicious breakfast of eggs and bacon, we headed out to the beach. I got to drive the Audi (amazing!) and we quickly found a good place to park and a nice spot to hunker down for the day.
The view was amazing… Sunny skies, white sand, shells all around and crashing waves on the shore. I read and relaxed and played in the water.
Then we came back to the condo to relax… I read some more before passing out for a couple of hours. When I woke up, we headed out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Yum!
Off to bed! Tomorrow is an early rise!
But before I go, happy birthday from Diohgé to Mary!
