Day 187

The Bullseye Beckons

The Corporation

First day back in 2 weeks… I’ve worked for the Corporation for over 11 years now. Many positions, many place… but one thing is common – always great people. I was welcomed back today by my team, my peers, my co-workers all with both excitement that I was there, but also concern for how I was doing. Target hires and had the greatest team … I am so proud to work with them. It was great to be back and to have such a huge “open arm environment”.

Talked with mom and Sara today. Dad woke up around 4 am and wanted my mom to “pinch him”. “KATHI!!! Pinch me! PINCH ME!” We’re not sure. 🙂  However, he slept most of the rest of the day, is eating nothing and drinking little. The nurse said that his heart rate is up, which isn’t the best. Longer times between breaths. Bed sores on his back. 😦

“Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King… Soon and very soon we are going to see the King. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, we’re going to see the King”

  1. I am a classmate of your Dad’s. I have been reading your blog, what a wonderful son. Praise God he has you and his family, I know that he is ready to go and it will be hard, but with the help of our Heavenly Father you will manage. I know he loves the Lord so all is well. It is written, absence in the body, presence with the Lord!

I have had you all in my prayers for some time now.

    God Bless!

  2. I worked with your Dad for about 10 years, he is a great guy to work with. His position never went to his head, he treated everyone the same. I hated to see him retire, but am glad that he got to spend a lot of time with the family. I am so thankful that you have this blog on here, I try to come here daily to see how your dad is doing. My heart goes out to Tom and his family. God bless and keep all of you in his loving arms. Just wanted to let you know that you, your sister and your Mother are in my thoughts daily..

    God bless,
