Day Sixteen

It’s T-O-M’s Birthday!!

T-O-M's Birthday!

My dad is celebrating his birthday today. I wanted to find a way to incorporate him into my project for today. I went to Barnes & Noble for some down time with coffee and decided to use my Pano app to shoot the photo above. Nothing magical, but fun nonetheless.

To my dad… Thanks for always being around. Boy Scouts, church, school plays, log cabin building or just watching tv. Thanks for the pick up and drop offs at the airport. Thanks for helping out Sara and the kids by babysitting, letting Maggie control your every move (“Get out! Get out!”) and even driving down to WCH to take Sara emergency Abreva.

Thanks for being the new laundry guy, snow blowing the neighborhood, mowing at the church or helping old ladies with random projects. Thanks for being mom’s new errand guy.

We all love you and I miss you!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Day Fourteen

Retro style.

Old and New

So, I got a new app last week for my iPhone called Hipstamatic. Its so cool… Very retro with a ton of flashes, lenses and film to allow you to mix and match effects.

As I was tooling around the house, I saw some other retro stuff, so I combined the thought. While I was at home for Christmas, my mom gave me three ceramic angels that my Grandma Sommer had made. When I got home, I placed them out where I already had three angels. Hmm… in the DNA?

Then I decided to shoot some other pics… Dave and his “scratchers”. They were in his Christmas stocking and he is just now getting to them. Which is probably why he didn’t win anything. But I loved the effect from the iPhone! 🙂

Scratchers

And then for some fun, I decided to take a photo with my iPhone PANO app… which takes and combines photos into a panoramic. Great app. So, I created a puzzle out of mine. Your turn to guess… 4 words – a common phrase — might even describe my work situation right now.

What am I saying?

Photos taken with: iPhone 3GS, Hipstamatic App and Pano App.
