June 1 is my Target anniversary and this year I’m celebrating 13 years. Actually, I don’t expect alot for this, but my good friend Katie heard me talk about this at a little speech I gave to some future Target employees yesterday. This morning this lovely card appeared on my desk!

Katie has been sewing 2 index cards together to make a postcard everyday this year. It’s similar to the 366 I’m doing. She handmade this delight!! I love it.

Then, I hopped a plane tonight to see the family. The kids were so much fun tonight!

Congrats to Target for 50 Years! Opened T-1 in Roseville, MN on May 1, 1962. We had Norah Jones playing in the building today, Bullseye is joining for photos tomorrow, it’s full casual week and we’ll have a cupcake party on Friday! I love my job.

Happy Anniversary Sister/Brother!!

The Fam... 4 years later.

Can you believe that they have only been married for 4 years! My sister and her husband celebrate tomorrow… I wanted to send them an early congrats. I think that its awesome… great jobs, 2 beautiful children, nice house and area to live in… I think that they’ve figured it out. I’m very proud of my sister and what she’s been able to accomplish.

Happy 11 years!

The Corporation

Yes, 11 years at Target… The corporation has served me well and I have served it well. I think? Anywhoo… always a range of emotions at work – happy, sad, overwhelmed, mischievous, exhausted… But at the end of the day, I am Target!

Today I celebrated with a walk through at a test store that I have been working on for over a year. Literally… like birthing a child. But it was worth it… fun, exciting, new ways to think about things… tough roads ahead.
