Today is my parent’s 40th Wedding Anniversary. I’m sure that dad would have celebrated it in style. Below is a picture from their wedding day (reshot to fit the 365). Mom — we love you. Dad is sending you yellow roses from Heaven.

Today was our Target National Sales Meeting… One of my favorite days of the year. It makes me so excited for work for the Corporation. We got to hear speeches from the company’s leaders… hear about successes, new innovations coming up and celebrate award winners. Oh, and we got to hear from a TON of performers: Keith Urban (wow!), Enrique Iglesias (wow!), some groups I don’t even know, new Dixie Chicks group, and Taylor Swift. Overall, okay group!
Afterwards, some of us went to a special celebration at Target Field for the team members. Open to only us, tons of park food and fun. Really cool.

Fireworks!!
"Big PaCorn!" - Maggie
We were able to sneak out tonight for a bit to catch the fireworks. Reynoldsburg Fireworks are just down the street from our house… so a little walk! I was surprised at the lack of people, but that was okay with me since we got some great vantage points.
4th of July is always a fun Holiday. It’s one where you can always see people coming together to enjoy a really cool show. It’s the annual symbol of our freedom to do what we want every day.
Dad had a rough day today. He was VERY frustrated that he couldn’t get up and walk. I think that we often take for granted the freedoms that we do have — those that come from a Constitution or those that come from just being able to move, breathe, live. When one is taken away, like walking has been for dad, we aren’t prepared to give it up. It was rough for us to see him dealing with this… and will continue to be. Please continue to pray for his release… this earthbound body isn’t the freedom that my dad wants, or the one that he deserves.

Happy Anniversary Sister/Brother!!
The Fam... 4 years later.
Can you believe that they have only been married for 4 years! My sister and her husband celebrate tomorrow… I wanted to send them an early congrats. I think that its awesome… great jobs, 2 beautiful children, nice house and area to live in… I think that they’ve figured it out. I’m very proud of my sister and what she’s been able to accomplish.

Happy 11 years!
The Corporation
Yes, 11 years at Target… The corporation has served me well and I have served it well. I think? Anywhoo… always a range of emotions at work – happy, sad, overwhelmed, mischievous, exhausted… But at the end of the day, I am Target!
Today I celebrated with a walk through at a test store that I have been working on for over a year. Literally… like birthing a child. But it was worth it… fun, exciting, new ways to think about things… tough roads ahead.
