Day 85

And finally… Z is for ZEST!

Z is for Zest...

Z is for Zest ... When is processing too much?

I’m pretty excited… Not only did I finish the Alphabet Challenge today, but I also received my first macro lens… Nikon 60mm f/2.8. Z is for ZEST — not only the literal lemon zest in the picture, but also the zest in life… zest for photography… zest for new challenges. (What will be my new challenge!?)

In this post… I posted both the original AND a processed version. Which one do you like better? I like the exactness in the processing and the color, but also want to stay true to the art of photography. Thoughts?

Day 84

Y is for a Youth Yelling Yeah!

Y is for a Youth Yelling Yeah!

I’m at home for the next few days so of course I had to figure out a way to include some shots of the kids. Sam has this awful rash on his face (its going away)… So, I thought about doing YUCK. But that’s not nice. I gave Sam the “Y” and he began eating it and playing with it and laughing at it…

Day 82

W is for Water with the Wash in the Washing Machine

W is for Water with the Wash in the Washing Machine

Did you grandma ever call it the “wash” and somehow there was an “R” in the word? When it was just dirty clothes or laundry to you? Curious… Fun playing around with the camera… doing this in the dark, with a high ISO setting and just the drum light on…

Day 81

V is for Violet in a Vase

V is for Violet in a Vase

I bought these Tulips (my favorite flower) at the grocery the other night. I mixed both violet and white because I loved them too much. I couldn’t decide. How perfect was this!! Violet in a Vase!! I know that I did violet the other day, but eh… who cares. And I’m loving the new camera.
