Ahhhh… Finally! A day where we didn’t have to worry about moving or new jobs. First, we had great massages. Then we warmed up with some lunch by the fire.
After an all day shopping spree (looking and not really buying), we had dinner with Mary, her boyfriend Thom and his parents. It was fun to get to know them.
The best part of the night was scaring her with a clown mask. Unfortunately, no photos or video. But I did get some

I took a quick little jet trip to New Mexico today. The jet itself was a gulfstream 5 and was amazing inside… 12 seats, kitchenette, wifi. Just fun!

As we arrived in Albuquerque, we found out this week was the hot air balloon festival. It was amazing… Hundreds of them in the air. You can barely see the two black dots in the sky.
After the travel back, we enjoyed dinner tonight with the Kemmetmuellers. We retired to their abode to visit with Bailey. She was very happy to see us all.
And I found this delight on canvas in their home! Superheroes!
And of course Diohgé wanted to play ball. Shocking.
Finally! A good day with some exciting news. First, I had a great day at work where I actually got some time to work in projects and email and just organizing myself. And I got to meet more of the team! I should have known it’d be a good day when I saw this…
Then this evening we finally got the news we’d been waiting on. Earlier this week, we found out the mortgage underwriter was challenging the appraisal value on our house. Long story short, we could lose the house. BUT, we got the news that the review was cancelled! Woo hoo!
To celebrate, we all went out and had some dessert. The pooch wanted more than his fair share.
I spent 5 hours today in leadership meetings sharing fall strategies and learning about other team’s strategies. It was great to hear what was going on. But the last few days and next several will be like drinking from a fire hose. So busy!
So here’s my car telling me to buckle up my work bag because it’s too heavy. A sign of how much I’m taking back and forth. 🙂
And the poor pooch has been having some stomach issues. He’s on an antibiotic and sleeping lots. 😦
I had an offsite today with my new team. It was fun, interesting and gave me a good perspective on the work we have to do.
