Woke up late and enjoyed a nice brunch at Tipsy Parson with Adam. And late brunch to me was VERY early to NYC, I learned later. (We saw people having brunch until 4-5!)
We walked around the High Line, Chelsea, Greenwich, Meatpacking and West Village. Fun times just exploring and spending time with old friends.
Tonight we had a great steak dinner and am going to relax.
First day in NYC! After settling into the hotel, we headed over to Eataly. An amazing mix of restaurants and grocery shopping. We had great wine, great pizza and a lot of fun watching everyone.
We headed up to Herald Square and Times Square to walk around. And then back to the hotel for some resting.

We wrote postcards in Central Park… Took a 2 hr boat cruise around the harbor… Searched high and low for a good NY Deli… Went up the Empire State Building for more night time shots… Found a Ray’s Pizza (thanks Nathan and Jess!)… Sleep.

So tired… Went to bed last night around 2 am. I’m here again at 1:49 am typing my day! And we got up around 7 am this morning to see Lady Liberty. Now, I will say that there was a great 2 hour nap today. 🙂
Again… In order of events. Not many because Liberty / Ellis Island take a long time. Tomorrow: Empire State Building, Central Park, Harbor Tour.
