I had an offsite today with my new team. It was fun, interesting and gave me a good perspective on the work we have to do.
First, sunrise over my new office (higher floor!).
Then some expectations with the new team.
And the pooch wondering why I’m working from home (new job, Pooch.).
Well, it was my last day in MPD. After 5 years, it seems completely foreign to work on a different floor, with a different team on different projects. I have a different boss, a different elevator bank and different culture.
I’m excited. I’m sad. I’m scared. I’m energized.
Therefore, we celebrate. We commiserate. We bitch. We advise. We drink. We are friends!
And we play. We chat. With our best friends.
Today was crazy! Lots of emails… From both teams, old and new. Meetings… Both teams.
Realtor calls and emails. Insurance agent calls and emails. Property Management calls and emails.
But I’m happy that I have an admin who was able to help by packing up my office. (So much packing!)
Tonight the pooch was so tired that after I threw the ball, he looked at me in disgust. He just laid his head down and went to sleep. I need to do the same.
The announcement is out!
Sweet boy in the morning light…
Today was a big day! First, I received our Vikings v Packers tickets for the end of October. So excited!!
Second, it was announced today that I am taking a new job!!! I am moving to Store Operations as the Senior Director of Guest Engagement. It’s going to be an exciting new job and I’m thrilled to join the team. We’ll be working on projects like service in store and sales floor processes. It’s my dream job!
