The pooch wasn’t so happy with me leaving today. First he tried to keep me by giving me love. Then he played a game of “if I don’t see you, you can’t leave.” So. Cute.
At work today, we grand opened our Target stores in Canada! So fun!
Then I headed over to Milwaukee to visit Mary for her half marathon. As I was leaving, it was snowing! We had to de-ice the plane on April 5. Ugh.
And now we are relaxing before the big day. I’m so stressed about how to get refills on my Bloody Mary’s.
Today we visited a few more of the Canada stores. They are in great shape to open! On the trip we stopped by a local grocery… I love the Canadian bagged milk. (Photo on my other phone!!)
And then we visited the Canada HQ to see some friends. (Photo on my other phone!!)
And then I got home to see my pooch. Can you see the tail wag in the background?
Valentine’s Day traveling in Canada!! My first love today was seeing an amazing looking Target store.
My second love was getting some texts of my boy.
My third love was dinner tonight… Amazing. Let’s Steakhouse with my bestie Elisha and some others. So good!
And no photo, but it was great to get a flat on the rental tonight. The good thing, we were 1 mile from the airport and could just exchange it!
I’m off to Canada tonight after an all day training session in consensus building. It was a good class!
We had to do a couple of projects one of which was The Marshmallow Challenge. How high can we build a structure of spaghetti, tape and string… With the mallow on top. We won, but barely!
More importantly, we learned about consensus and rapid prototyping. Now I’m headed off to Canada for two days and we are just boarding (8:08) for our 7:30 flight. Oh well.
And of course the pooch had this pitiful look of “Why are you leaving without me”. I think he now understands the luggage.
Travel to Canada for work and celebrate the 50 years of Target in our newest office. It is beautiful!!! And then celebrated the day with a Canadian beer.
