First, a PSA on this cute pups… Always has to have his paw on you during pets.

Tonight Dave and I held the final taste test… Angel Food Cupcakes! Now, to refresh your memory, I received 8 flavors to taste in order to make my birthday dozen. Angel Food was nice enough to give me 3 of each, so we had two with our friends and saved the last one for us.

In my interview, I gave them some flavor profiles to use… Peanut butter, espresso, coconut, lemon, blueberry. I love white icing and didn’t want chocolate.

The 8 flavors they crafted are So much fun… Some examples:

– Coco-De-Leche: coconut cake filled with dulce de Leche and caramel Swiss meringue icing.
– Peanut Butter blueberry cake with toasted 7-min meringue icing.

I mean, come on!!

Dave’s favorite was the coconut blueberry cake with lemon Swiss meringue. My favorites are the “Nutter-A-Misu” (peanut butter cake soaked in espresso with vanilla whip cream and cocoa powder) AND Coconut Blueberry “Tres Leches” with toasted 7-min meringue. AMAZING.

165.365.2013 Backyard Beer Dabbler & Such

We picked up the pooch this morning from his daycare… He was so excited to see us! Jumping up and down, kisses all around.

Tonight we went over to PK & Susie’s for a Backyard Beer Dabbler… So much fun. Each of us were assigned a region if the country and brought a six pack of beer from breweries in that area. Most of us made our own 6 pack… So 18 different brews. Dave brought 8 different ciders as well. It was a blast!!

I also had the chance to pick up 2 dozen birthday cupcakes from Angel Food Bakery. Remember Dave got me the cupcakes as a gift last year (the bakery makes one after my flavors…). Well, we had 8 flavors and 3 of each to try. Many samplings and its a hard decision. And I reserve the right to share more tomorrow!

10 for 100!

10 Cupcakes to Celebrate 100

Number 10 today… 10 Cupcakes to celebrate 100 days of Project365! I am pretty excited… And its 11:37 pm, so I’m pushing it to the last minute. I printed out my favorite photos from the project so far which you see around and behind the cupcakes. You see #10 in red, but then an extra green ZERO to make 100!!
