Emergency! The painters had a job fall through for tomorrow. So our request to paint more rooms was granted… But now we have to pick out colors! Ahh!

Dave and I went to Sherwin Williams and picked up a bunch of swatches. We played around for awhile at the house to decide.

Then we realized we were picking the SAME colors as the town home. Emergency design consultations!! We called our friend and designer Rob. He flew over here quickly and brought his paint search book.

Of course the pup had to be involved too.

304.365.2013 It’s Closing Time…

Diohgé woke me up around 4 am today because he was so excited about his new backyard. So, I ended up laying downstairs for awhile just all a twitter for the big day.

Eventually, we ended up at the house for the walk through. It was weird being empty, but so exciting! They even left us the garage fridge. Bonus!

After we did the walk, we headed for closing so that I could own two mortgages. Yay! Lots of signing… We did get to meet the sellers and they were pretty cool. They were excited that we were dog people because their’s had passed away about 2 months ago. And we found out the guy re-did the kitchen and bathroom all himself! Hand carved cabinets!!

Once we got our keys, we headed back to the town home and started loading up. We took over two loads of the most important stuff – the wine! We started the wine cave and I couldn’t be more excited.

Then we headed to get the pooch and some dinner. He was SO EXCITED when we got to the house. He loved the backyard and started playing with his toys immediately!

We enjoyed some champagne with dinner. (Diohgé had a Beggin Strip.) And Matthew and Beth came over to see the digs!

AMAZING! Now it’s 8:54 and I’m going to bed.

303.365.2013 Anticipation

Tomorrow is our closing. I feel anxious. Stressed. Excited. Sad. Hopeful. I can’t wait to start actually moving stuff in.

I relaxed in the morning by killing some Candy Crush – I finally finished all 440 current levels. Then I promptly deleted the game. Must. Stop.

Afterwards, I packed some, threw away some and got ready for tomorrow. We headed out to the arboretum for a little photo shoot… Of us! The fall colors are gorgeous and Diohgé had a fun time breaking the law.

MMMZ invited us over for some dinner since we’re on a take out schedule. Yum! We had to introduce them to Meeker wine as all good friends should.

I think Diohgé will be missing these stairs in a few days. 😦

300.365.2013 Happy Hour, Day Two

Another day, another happy hour. Tonight I was with my old team… I had about 160 people on the team and I’d say about 100 showed up. So much fun! It was awesome to see everyone and fun to be celebrated. I already miss them. 😦
