192.365.2013 Brew Pubs!?

My colleagues and I worked all day at the store fixing what we didn’t like or what turned out as an issue from what we planned. We got a ton accomplished! And so we celebrated…

Deschutes Brewery and Public House… Oh. My. Goodness. Amazing (cheap) beers and even better food. Crazy!

The Mac and Cheese with sausage and Obsidian Stout sauce, the Black Butte XXV and the sweet potato fries were crazy amazing good. I knew Portland was big on food…

179.365.2013 Beer Dabbler

An amazing start to a fun weekend! I’m not sure why, but I was super crabby all day long… Like just not nice. So it was nice to hang out with some friends (like 11 of us!) tonight, with beer!!

Beer Dabbler was this evening with about 20 beer vendors and 24 food trucks. They paired a beer from each vendor with a dish at each truck. YUM. Unfortunately, it rained on and off and eventually we decided we were done.

But, a beer Fest wouldn’t be complete without me destroying Hammerschlagen in 2 hits. Third game, third win.

Then I came home to the Poochy pup. He’s been limping a bit and went to the vet today. He has a little join issue and is on a restrictive exercise schedule. 😦

165.365.2013 Backyard Beer Dabbler & Such

We picked up the pooch this morning from his daycare… He was so excited to see us! Jumping up and down, kisses all around.

Tonight we went over to PK & Susie’s for a Backyard Beer Dabbler… So much fun. Each of us were assigned a region if the country and brought a six pack of beer from breweries in that area. Most of us made our own 6 pack… So 18 different brews. Dave brought 8 different ciders as well. It was a blast!!

I also had the chance to pick up 2 dozen birthday cupcakes from Angel Food Bakery. Remember Dave got me the cupcakes as a gift last year (the bakery makes one after my flavors…). Well, we had 8 flavors and 3 of each to try. Many samplings and its a hard decision. And I reserve the right to share more tomorrow!

(Overall flavors include lemon, blueberry, peanut butter, coconut, espresso.)

Vacation baby!! I left work today at 2:30 so that I could start my vacation… With beer! A good friend and I enjoyed a few beers at the Local to start the fun.

Then tonight Dave and I attended another charity auction through Target. We might have purchased a little trip in the live auction. I guess 2013 will be the year of trips. And we also won a dual membership to the YMCA (paid $50 and worth $1280!!). I’ll be selling that later.
