Saturday night I purchased a little delight that is going to give me hours of laughter. I used it to “say hi” to Mary when she was headed to the car. It couldn’t have been better… I’m not sure if she peed first from sheer terror or if I did from laughing so hard.
It’s really the gift that keeps on giving. Especially when I texted her the photo today. Tee hee.
Pooch didn’t find it funny. Nor us continually cleaning up his horde. He just pulls it back out and then falls asleep.
‘Merica! A day if shooting and fun with friends. I went out to the MN Horse and Hunt Club where we got a groupon to shoot some clays and have lunch. Had a blast! Especially watching Matthew and Craig battle for the final score…
When I came home pooch and I took a nice long nap. Ahhhh… I needed that rest.
Pooch and I went in a long walk around the neighborhood… Probably our last before we move! So I took him out to the bluff and let him run around some.
And then to wrap up the weekend, we went over to Mark & Meghann’s for a vertical wine tasting and some dinner. Both of their parents were there to help with the move and we had a great time.
Ahhhh… Finally! A day where we didn’t have to worry about moving or new jobs. First, we had great massages. Then we warmed up with some lunch by the fire.
After an all day shopping spree (looking and not really buying), we had dinner with Mary, her boyfriend Thom and his parents. It was fun to get to know them.
The best part of the night was scaring her with a clown mask. Unfortunately, no photos or video. But I did get some

Today was my first day in the new job… Craziness ensued. More to come.
However, today was also my first date with Zara!! I got the opportunity to babysit tonight instead of forcing my ears to bleed by listening to Jack Johnson. I definitely took Zara and Chef.
She slept most of the time and I was forced to hold her (big problem :D). She didn’t want me to put her down! It’s amazing what you can learn to do one handed. And it’s amazing how your gag reflex goes away after picking up so much dog poop. (Wow Zara!)

Well, it was my last day in MPD. After 5 years, it seems completely foreign to work on a different floor, with a different team on different projects. I have a different boss, a different elevator bank and different culture.
I’m excited. I’m sad. I’m scared. I’m energized.
Therefore, we celebrate. We commiserate. We bitch. We advise. We drink. We are friends!
And we play. We chat. With our best friends.
