262.365.2013 Friends & Beer

Sometimes you just need a beer with friends… It’s been a long week and I very much enjoyed it.

Pooch also had a treat tonight… His second (and last) Bark Box arrived tonight. He enjoyed the pig ear very much as he immediately began to hide it all over and then chewed it up!

Today was a LONG day! I didn’t get much sleep on the plane, just isn’t my thing. We landed in Dublin pretty much on time. It was a beautiful sunrise to watch.

We went through immigration and customs to get these delights.

Then we headed to the hotel. Luckily they had a room for us at 9:30 am!! So we took a quick nap, unpacked, showered an went back on the town. We purchased a hop on hop off bus pass so we boarded that an rode it for almost an hour. When we got to the Gaol, our first tour, it had already been booked for the whole day!

So, we jumped in a cab and headed to Guinness Storehouse. It was a really fun afternoon … Store, tour, drinks, food, music. I even got the chance to learn how to poor the perfect pint. Loved it!

Afterwards, we found a store to get a SIM card for our phones and now have unlimited data!! We had some dinner. And now it’s off to an early bed time.

Here’s a photo of the Greening of the city where all major buildings are colored green for the weekend. 🙂

Day 330

Today was a good day in the Ville. We had another Thanksgiving in Morocco with the Knoenzer family. Great good, fun games. Then we had dinner with the Mesarch side at an Irish Pub. Note: The countdown clock to St. Pat’s in the same one from my Day One photo! I love the Irish Christmas tree. 🙂

Day 249

Day Three London! Today was okay… we slept in, which was nice and then made our way to Kensington Palace. It was under construction, but they still allowed you to tour the State Apartments which was decorated into an “Enchanted” Princess land. It was a neat twist, but I would have rather heard the history and toured more. However, the Queen’s cousins are living there now. 🙂

We then made our way through the Park to Diana’s Memorial Fountain, which was very different. We had a Pims to drink, walked to Harrod’s which was awfully boring – Macy’s, only expensive. Afterwards, we went to the Royal Academy of the Arts which only had one exhibit… boring. However, the day got exciting when we tried to find a SIM card to put into Dave’s iphone and syphon data plans from… After an hour or more of trapsing all over the Oxford Circus area, we succeed. Many, many cuss words later.

We met Shane and Jule for dinner at Pizza East… yum. Now to bed and off to London Bridge’s tomorrow!
