Our last day in London! We slept in which was very nice and needed. We had a lovely breakfast with Jule and then got ready for the day.

We packed up and headed off to Stratford where the Olympic Village was last year. However, our goal was to get to the mall! Dave was on the hunt for a CD and the store there had it.

Greta was all bundled up in her pram giving me the middle finger.

We found the CD, had some ice cream and hopped the train back to Hackney. We stopped at M&S to grab some sandwiches much to Jules’s dismay. Dave was entertaining Greta on the way home.

We did a quick photo shoot with the babe before we left. Again, Dave trying to entertain her.

The flight back to Dublin was easy. A nice sunset…

And tonight we are staying in a castle!! Clontarf Castle is about 5 miles outside of the city. This guy is on guard…

But pretty soon, this guy will be on guard at our castle!

Today we got up very early to catch a tour to Stonehenge. We got a taxi to a hotel and then a bus picked us up for the tour. It was fun to see some of the London sites as we drove around.

After a quick two hour drive we arrived at Stonehenge. It was a quick stop… About an hour which included restrooms, gift shop and food. Either way, it was cool to see! The stones seemed much smaller then I expected.

For the afternoon, we took the Tube to the Heyward Gallery in Southbank Center to see a light exhibition. Shane, Jule and Greta met us there. It was pretty cool (no pictures allowed).

We headed to a close pastry shop and enjoyed some tea and scones before dinner. For dinner, we found an Indian restaurant on Brick Lane.

Dave was trying to drain his battery on the bus today and so was playing a slides how of the dog. 😦

I had some crazy dreams about Diohgé last night being here and not being able to figure out how to get him on a plane home. Weird.

But when I woke up, we were headed to London to see our good friends Shane and Jule! And of course meet my new friend and goddaughter Greta!

She is adorable and we hung out all day… Took a long walk, had a good breakfast, an excellent dinner and played some apps on the iPhone.

Here’s Uncle David showing Greta her first “TV”. She was mesmerized!

And Shane made a great dinner of lamb tonight. Yum!

Otto hung out in the bathroom sink.

Our last day driving cross country in Ireland. 😦 We started out at the Cliffs of Moher which were beautiful… But very windy and cold.

Then we headed over to Doolin to just sit and enjoy a coffee while finishing up some postcards.

We ended up spending about 3 hours driving back to Dublin on their fancy new highway that allowed us to go 120km (75-80 mph). Our Renault Fluence did us well and I was able to check it back in with no concerns.

Tonight we’ve been relaxing at the airport hotel and are catching a flight to London very early!

We get to meet Greta tomorrow! I think that she wishes she could meet Diohgé.

Well, it was another rainy and windy day. Blah. But it turned wonderful by 2 pm!! We stayed in the best little B&B where they gave us great directions, advice and were just the best with service.

We decided to shop a little today in Dingle before we drove. We were hoping it would help the rain pass. Dave found a bottle of his new favorite vodka and I found a lot more. 🙂

Once we took off, the rain was still pretty heavy but we powered trough the drive. The views were supposed to be gorgeous. We got soaked, but we still got out and walked, took photos and saw a lot of “prehistoric” dwellings.

The coast, Slea Head, looks into the ocean and was amazing. I’ll share a couple of views below…

We also had some friends asking for a snack. Dave thought it was real fun to throw them pieces of a cookie and they would fly up and grab it.

We continued our drive after stopping at a pottery shop for lunch. Beautiful work… And a really tasty lunch. By then the weather cleared up really well… Some more views. We saw a TON of rainbows!! They were amazing and the brightest I’ve ever seen.

Then we crossed the ferry which saved us about an hour of driving time. We’re in Lanniscor tonight and will see the Cliffs of Mohr tomorrow! Exciting!

Oh! And we finally saw a border collie herding sheep today! It was quick so no photos, but so fun to see!

Finally, Dave was constantly ready for the shot… Seriously. I pulled over to see a view, he woke up, got out of the car and continued shooting!
